Our players comment on the award from Nöjesguiden

Our internal site has been brewing with comments on our win of Nöjesguidens award. We wanted to share some of them with you. Some are in english, some are in swedish.

”This award is evidence that sports and (pop)culture/civil society can go hand in hand and CCR has done a great job of proving this. There was a debate in the first year of this förening of whether RD should only be a sport and nothing more, but obviously CCR is much bigger than this and can in fact integrate sports into other realms of society whether it’s serving the community, producing (pop) culture, etc. This is indeed very exciting and I hope we can readily embrace that RD is much more than a sport now. we are cultural actors and members of Malmö’s civil society, which are definitely here to stay!”

”Det här priset handlar inte om att vi är en idrottsförening, att vi spelar derby, att vi har matcher- detta har vi fått för att hårt arbete som medlemmarna lagt ner i två år- ideellt arbete! Det engagemang som gör att vi använder vår enda lediga kväll till att sitta i möten, planera, ringa runt, kånka grejor. Detta ska vi alla vara riktigt stolta över!”

”Jag är så himla glad och stolt över alla. Detta är en fantastisk bekräftelse för oss som förening och jag hoppas alla känner energin och att orka med möten och gratisjobbet vi gör lite mer när sådant här händer! ♥ er alla.”
