First roller derby player receives competitive sports stipend

Magdalena “Bricken” Nordahl, player and captain of the Crime City Rollers A-team is the first roller derby player ever to receive the pretigious stipend Elitidrottsstipendium from the national sports association, Riksidrottsförbundet. She was one out of 72 athletes to be awarded with the stipend this year.

Magdalena will through the stipend get the opportunity to go to a training camp at Bosön, get access to professional resources in sports psychology, sports medicine and sports physiology, and on top of that 50 000SEK to help finance her atheltic endeavors.
